Welcome!

Rita, Karen, Percy

It is our mission to bring students to a deeper relationship with Jesus Christ while providing a quality education. We believe that the total child needs to be educated: spiritually, academically, emotionally, physically, culturally and socially.

In order to do this, we offer a full program of classes for children in kindergarten through sixth grade. Our curriculum is correlated to the state of Minnesota standards insuring that our students are well prepared for the transition to seventh grade. We constantly strive to update and improve our curriculum by reviewing a different area each year. We also believe that children must have the opportunity to learn by doing. They write in order to learn to write. They read in order to learn to read. We offer a hands-on science curriculum, use manipulatives to teach math, and involve children in many projects throughout the year.

We also have a three day per week preschool for 4 year olds. We use Letter People materials to promote prereading readiness as well as mathematical and science skill development. Music and physical education are also provided as part of our preschool program.

Our teachers work hard to build a classroom community. We want all of our children to feel a sense of belonging and comfort. This extends to our broader community. Our parents are an important part of our school family. We recognize you as the primary educators of your children, and we are committed to working as a partnership to provide the best experience that we can for your child.

We encourage you to consider becoming a part of our St. Raphael Catholic School family. We pray that you will find in us a school you can put your faith in.

I hope that you will consider giving your children a gift that will last a lifetime – a quality education and a strong faith in Christ.
